Patrick John Kemp

Patrick John Kemp passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025, at the age of 65, after a courageous battle with cancer. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, cherished brother, and loyal friend.

Patrick grew up in Brookfield Wisconsin and in 2014 retired from the Brookfield Police Department before moving our family to Sarasota, Florida.

He spent his life servicing others, proudly working as a detective where his sharp instincts, deep compassion, and unwavering sense of justice earned him great respect. But it was his personality, gift for humor, way with words, and ability to bring light into any room that truly made him one of a kind.

He was a natural storyteller, always ready with a joke or a memory that would leave everyone laughing. His presence was magnetic, lively, warm, and deeply comforting. Patrick had a way of making people feel seen, heard, and valued.

He is survived by his loving wife Deborah Kemp, his son Daniel Kemp, and his daughter Jamie Kemp, who carry his spirit forward with love and pride.

He is also survived by his siblings. Polly Calvey and her daughters Colleen, Cait and Megan; Peggy Groebner (Doug) and their daughters Tori and Roni; Tom Kemp and his daughters Katie and Kimmy; Tim Kemp (Shellie); Jim Kemp (Gail) and his sons Justin, Michael, Kyle and Nick; and John Kemp.

Though he is no longer with us, the joy, laughter, and love Patrick brought into the world will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We will love and miss you

A celebration of Life will be held at the Golden Mast in Oconomowoc, WI on Saturday Aug 9th (12-3). We hope you can join us to celebrate Pat's life.
