Patrick Martello Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jun. 10, 2024.
With heavy hearts, we bid farewell to Patrick J. Martello, 73, who passed away peacefully on June 6, 2024, after a brave fight with pancreatic cancer.

Pat was born on July 16, 1950, to Angelo and Martha Martello. He was the dancing partner and devoted husband of 50 years to his high school sweetheart, Kathleen (nee Dunn). Pat and Kath shared a life filled with laughter and countless memories, bonded together as best friends. Pat was a loving father to daughters Angela (Clinton) Stowe and Courtney (Dylan) Arntzen, who loved him deeply, and miss him dearly, his guidance always a source of strength and wisdom. Beyond his role as a father, Pat was adored as "Gramps" by his granddaughters Winnifred, Eloise and Leona who brought immeasurable joy to his life.

Pat was at his storytelling best when he hosted Italian dinners, proudly serving his coveted lasagna to family and friends. Many memorable days were spent by the Rock River during the walleye run. Pat also patiently fished alongside his granddaughters and great nieces and nephew baiting countless hooks and expertly untangling miles of lines. A Vietnam Veteran, Pat served his country honorably in the United States Air Force. Transitioning from the restaurant industry, Pat applied his mechanical knowledge and inclination, resulting in a patent bearing his name. In 2017, Pat retired from management at WE Energies.

Pat was preceded in death by his brother Michael Martello and is survived by his brother Angelo (Lotte) Martello and sister Theresa (Michael) McDonald. Pat is deeply loved by his extended family and many friends.

A visitation will be held at the Wisconsin Club, 900 West Wisconsin Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53233 on June 27, 2024, at 3:00 pm until the time of service at 5:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (https://pancan.org).

Forever in our hearts.
