I am deeply saddened to hear this unfortunate and shocking loss. My condolences to Mrs McGonagle, Judy and Mary. I worked and trained PJ in his early months just as he got out of the Police Academy. In doing so, we found common ground in many things, one specifically in outdoor sporting, we went out for turkey, pheasant and deer, always having a great time. Coming home from one of those outings we found out that we were related as our Grandmothers were related. In such a small world and as time has passed!
PJ God is with you and you continue in Gods Blessings!

I was so saddened to hear the news about PJ. I first met him when we were 6th graders just starting out as boy scouts in Troop 411 in Oreland. He and I and the other guys were just a bunch of crazy boys doing ridiculously dumb things out in the woods -- but, looking back on it all these years later, it was so much fun. He was such a warm, decent and all around good person, and I am so glad I knew him then and through high school at LaSalle. He will be missed by all of us who could call him a friend.

PJ, I will never forget the November night I called you to help me chase a huge bear off my deck. You ran right over with your flashlight and coaxed the bear out of my yard. You then told me to call you anytime for anything no matter what the time and you would be there. I will surely miss the feeling of security just knowing you lived next door.

PJ, You will be dearly missed. I appreciate every minute of your mentorship from the time I was just a young kid visiting the shop with my father on the weekends, to the young man just ready to ship to Basic Training. You will be remembered by everyone that has ever known you as the wonderful man that you were. I only wish I could be there for the viewing. Trust that I send my deepest regrets from Korea.

I remember my first day moving back to PA. PJ and the boys showed up with the moving van still in the street to start a great friendship. My thoughts and prayers are with the McGonagle family. So many amazing memories that still bring a smile even during this difficult time.

Mary, Mrs. McGonagle and Judy our prayers are with you on this extremely sad day. PJ and I met in the Police Academy, Class 305 B and worked together in the early years on patrol. Although we lost touch over the years, I am truly saddened today in the loss of a kind and generous man that I knew as a friend.

My friend, words can't describe how any of us feel about losing you. There is an immeasurable void in our hearts. Knowing you like I did your probably upset that we are grieving your loss so hard but don't worry about that we will all find our way to cope and ask ourselves "What would PJ do." I am only left with the memories of all of our time spent together and the countless conversations we had sitting by the fire. I am privileged and honored to have had you in my life and considered you more of a brother than a friend. Until we meet again we'll hold it down for you here on earth and when my time comes i"ll need a boost over the pearly gates, so I'll look for your helping hand and words of wisdom just like you always did before. Peace my Brother ! Schildty
