Patsy Anderson Obituary

Patsy Anderson passed away on Thursday, March 30, 2017, at a local nursing home where she was a resident. Services: 2 p.m. Saturday, April 8, at Moore Funeral Home in Arlington. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations to Mission Arlington or your favorite charity would make Patsy happy as she lived her beliefs of taking care of others less fortunate than herself throughout her life. Patsy grew up in the South Oak Cliff area of Dallas. She and her husband, Dan, moved to Arlington from Euless in 1952. They were both active members of University Baptist Church, joining in 1952. She was also interested in local and national politics and was a staunch Democrat. Mrs. Anderson was well known for supporting Mission Arlington with donations and volunteer service. As long as she was able, she also actively assisted others in her community who were homebound by delivering groceries and taking them to medical appointments. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Daniel R. Anderson; and a son, Jere Preston Anderson. Survivors: Daughter, Jean Anderson (Don Jordan); son, Michael Anderson (Louis Garcia); sister, Edna Cobb; brother, James O. Kidd; nephew, Gary Cobb; and her beloved cat, Capone. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank Shirley Earley and Tony Roemmich who were Mom's guardian angels after Dad died. They are truly part of her family.

Mike and Jeannie, Your parents were great neighbors and friends of my mother, Bernice Lawson, for over forty years (and I remember you both so well). When Mother died, your parents were a Godsend to me by taking her household items and clothes to Mission Arlington. I couldn't have done it without them. My deepest sympathy to you both, but I know Patsy is happy to be reunited with Dan and her Lord.
