Patsy L. Cochran, 84, died at 1:45 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2017 at SpiriTrust Lutheran in the Village at Sprenkle Drive. She was the wife of the late Robert O. Cochran.
Born June 14, 1933 in York, a daughter of the late William G. and Lottie M. (March) Burns, she earned her Bachelor's Degree at York College, and taught 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade at Central School District for more than 26 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, and Pennsylvania State Education Association, and was a piano accompanist for the York Elks Chorus. She also taught private piano lessons.
Mrs. Cochran is survived by her daughter, Cindy C. Stoltzfus and her husband, Todd of York; son, Timothy Owen Cochran of York County; three grandchildren, Cory Cochran, Samantha Stoltzfus and Janson Stoltzfus; a sister, Sally M. Smith and her husband, Edwin of York; and two nephews, William and Matthew Smith. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Aaron Owen Cochran.
Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Thursday, October 19, 2017, at Christ Lutheran Church, 29 S. George Street, York, with her Pastor, The Rev. Dr. Alan J. Watt, officiating. Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Private burial will be in Mount Rose Cemetery. Kuhner Associates Funeral Directors, Inc., 863 S. George St., York, is in charge of arrangements.
