Patsy Killian Winters

Patsy Killian Winters was born March 17, 1941 in Roosevelt, Utah to Van C and Merle Wright Killian. Died peacefully November 15, 2015 in Landmark Hospital, Murray, Utah. Attended Elementary school in Duchesne and Jr High and High School in Roosevelt. Attended BYU where she met her husband Evan Burton Winters. Graduated from BYU June 3, 1963 with a Bachelor's Degree in Education. Married Evan June 6, 1963 in the Logan Temple. Served in many church callings including Relief Society, Young Women's, Primary, Sunday School, and Scouting. Attended Wood Badge and earned her beads. Loved quilts, books, flowers, friends, family, church, news, social media, family dinners and the stock market. She told the staff at the hospital to buy Coke for her stocks.She has 4 children: Ian, Deena, George, and Brian. Six grandchildren: Hannah, Josephine and Paul Winters and Natalie (John Gaskin), Bradley (Morgan Pratt) and Alyssa Robinson. She taught elementary school in Roosevelt, Murray and Shishmaref, Alaska. Operated Meadowbrook Day Nursery for 32 years with her husband Evan. She will be greatly missed by friends and family who love her. She is survived by her husband of 52 years and her brother Ross Killian and his wife Glenda and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Wright, and 4 siblings who died in infancy, Larry, Janet and twin brothers. She must be happy meeting them and many others! She is free at last. Thanks God, she is free at last.
Funeral services and viewings at Taylorsville Utah North Stake Center, 1250 W. Atherton Drive, Salt Lake City. Viewing Friday Nov 20th 6:00 - 8:00 PM and 10:00 AM Sat Nov 21st prior to funeral at 11:00 AM. Internment at Taylorsville Cemetery 4575 S. Redwood Road.
