Patty Jean Bailey, 66, of Lumberport, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 15, 2008) at the residence of her son. She was born May 31, 1941, at Seminole, a daughter of the late Okey Quinn Sr. and Maggie Lindsey Quinn.Patty was a homemaker who enjoyed her children and grandchildren, watching movies and shopping. She was a Christian, and a member of the Owings Community Church.She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia D. and Jack Sweeney Jr., Mt. Lookout; four sons and three daughters-in-law, Albert Douglas Jr., Lumberport, Delbert Lee and Terry Bailey, Owings, Kevin William and Missy Bailey and Michael Chad and Jeanie Bailey, all of Lumberport; a special friend, John Hayhurst; a brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Jackie Quinn, Ohio; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Dolly and Steve Adams, Lumberport, Florence “Tillie” Shaver, Ohio; 14 grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Albert D. Bailey Sr., who died Aug. 23, 1989; a son, Brian Scott Bailey; a daughter-in-law, Tracey Bailey; two brothers, Okey Quinn Jr. and David Lee Quinn; and two sisters, Jean Parson and Martha E. Sommerville.Friends may call at the Owings Community Church at Owings on Friday from 2-9 p.m. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday with Pastor Ron Johnson officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband in the Lions Club Cemetery at Lumberport.Memorial donations may be made to the Owings Community Church, Rt. 3, Box 103 Shinnston, WV 26431. Online condolences may be sent to [email protected]. Hutson Funeral Home in Mannington has been entrusted with arrangements.
