Patty Ann Keaton Cochran, 79 of Princeton and Bartow Florida, died Saturday, January 19, 2013, in Orlando Florida, following a sudden illness. Born March 7, 1933, at Pipestem, she was the daughter of the late Oran Homer Keaton and Carrie Virginia Farley Keaton. Patty Ann was a retired employee for Consolidated Coal Corporation in Bluefield, Virginia as a clerk. While living in Princeton she was a member of the New Hope United Methodist Church and a member of the Professional Secretaries Association. Patty Ann was honored as Secretary of the Year in 1980 by the Bluefield Chapter of the Professional Secretaries Association. Patty Ann was an avid Bridge player. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers; Billy Keaton and Harold Keaton, along with three sisters; Berniece Phillips, Louise Neeley, and Margaret Keaton. She is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 38 years Frank Cochran, a brother Bobby Keaton of Brushfork, a sister Peggy Neal of Norfolk, Virginia, two sister-in-laws, Lucy Cochran Mitchem of Gray,Tennessee and Gladys Cochran Sexton and her husband Vaughn of Warrington, Virginia. A host of nieces and nephews who loved her very much. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, January 26, 2013 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the family Cemetery at Pipestem. Friends may visit with the family on Friday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home. The Cochran family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.
