RENO - Patty Ann Buckley McWilliams passed away on July 13, 2024, at the age of 81 in Reno, Nevada. Born on November 15, 1942, in Visalia, California, Patty was a beacon of positivity, known for her energetic and nurturing nature.

Patty attended Highland Elementary and Green Acres before graduating from Mt. Whitney High School. She spent her life passionately engaged in her community and family. A devoted stay-at-home mom, she also volunteered at Kaweah Delta Hospital and led a Cub Scout troop. Alongside her husband, Don, she grew their Amway business to a Diamond Distributorship, fostering numerous lasting relationships.

Her hobbies reflected her vibrant spirit; she was a Master Gardener, an artist in watercolor and oil painting, and enjoyed horsemanship. Patty's love for western music, dancing, football, and politics kept her lively and connected to those she loved. Her laughter and joy in the presence of friends and family will be deeply missed.

Patty is survived by her sister, Susie Summersett; her children, Don McWilliams Jr. and his wife Debbie, Laurie McWilliams Pierce and her husband Randall; grandchildren Michele & Kenny deHaan, Jessica & Jason Lux, Emily & Seth Poulsen, Nicholas & Alexandria Thrower, Sara & Stevan Paukovic, Kayla McWilliams, Christopher Thrower, Natalie & Max Fleming, and Emily & Stephen Lancaster; great-grandchildren Mikey, Wyatt, Nora, Ava, Lyddie, Melanie, Macie, Millie, Everett, Miles, Hudson, Bennett, Murphy, Luka, Reagan, and Leo; brother-in-law Richard & Janice McWilliams; sisters-in-law Gayle McWilliams Somers and Carolyn McWilliams; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don McWilliams Sr.; her parents, George and Mary Ann Buckley; and brothers-in-law Bob Summersett, Steve Somers and Dave McWilliams.

A celebration of Patty's life will be held on November 23rd at 10:30am at Riata Ranch 42390-A North Kaweah River Road, Three Rivers, Ca. 93297. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to NevadaArt.org or the Wounded Warrior Project, honoring her patriotic spirit.

Patty had a heart of Gold. Always willing to share and smile brilliantly. I loved her devotion to Riata Ranch Parents Association and dedication to her family was unconditional. I will miss Patty. God Bless Laurie, Donny, and family.
