I meet Paul at his home in Green Valley when Leslie had our "Bunco Babes" group over at their backyard pool! I was amazed at Paul's beautiful remodeling, a lovely transformed home he was making for Leslie. I only met Paul just this one day, he was in the kitchen helping out and then 8 ladie's arrived, and I think he must have taken a ride on the Harley. We had such a beautiful day there!

"I remember Paul as a quietly confident man, someone who exuded calm strength and was a hard worker. I´ll always remember him unwinding to his favorite music in the living room, those peaceful moments of him rocking out really captured his spirit. And that unmistakable smirk of his - the one that appeared when he found what he called `an all-around good deal´. I will honor Paul with music and I´ll always be on the lookout for that all-around good deal in your memory."

Here are some pictures of me and my Dad back in the day. He loved to be in the outdoors. I miss his eyes and his smile and just his calm and grounded gentle presence to be around. I love you forever Dad

May God's promise found in John 6:40, of the hope to see our loved ones again, comfort your heart and give you peace, strength, and hope in the days ahead.

Paul was the nicest most generous loving guy. He cooking is so good, He was just a chill person. My son and I were blessed to know him. The photos are when Paul was playing ball in the pool with my son Kenan. Great memories

I've heard it said that people die how they've lived. That is true for you... your quiet strength, upright character, sense of humor, provider and hard working nature, appreciation for good food, love of sports, positive attitude, and trust in God, were just as evident at the end as they've been throughout your life.

Though I didn´t see him often, each time was very enjoyable. First impression? Those eyes! Beautiful. It was obvious that he had a kind gentle spirit. Rather laid back until we got talking about his enjoyment of sports and construction. It was obvious that he had a connection with God and a strong devotion to his daughters and son.
Such a loss way too soon.

Dad,
Sharing the last moments of your life with you has had a profound impact on me. In a measly attempt to process this, I wrote . . .
Reflections on your passage
We are not born alone
it would be impossible
we are literally attached to another
the connection is physical
But to be an individual in this world
that connection has to be severed
the physical bond is replaced by one that is invisible
an emotional one
Throughout life we develop
few or many emotional ties
No one is born alone
and no one should die alone
at birth, this is certain
at death, it is not
But those invisible cords
that throughout life
we link with others
that, is present in death
All those invisible connections
Both past and present
Seen and unseen
Are there
In this way, no one dies alone.
You did not die alone
Physically, loved ones were there
Emotionally, loved ones were near
Both those in flesh and spirit
As I grasped your body here on earth
Someone grasped your spirit in heaven
You were never alone.
And thus
your death prepared me
in some way
for my own
I claspED your body with my body
You WILL hold my spirit with your spirit
'til we meet again . . .
