I remember coming to the 284th MP Company as a young 19 year old in 1982. 1SG Baier was there and I served with him until I left the 284th in 1984. I'll never forget him calling me into his office just a day before I left. I was then an experienced SP4. 1SG Baier said "Specialist Snider you came to us as a boy and now you are leaving us as a man". I'll never forget that day nor will I ever forget the best 1SG that I ever served with in my 33 year career. Rest in peace my brother in arms, you've certainly earned it.

I served as an MP under 1SG Baier in Frankfurt, Germany over 30 years ago, and was blessed to have had the opportunity to see him again at our reunion 2 years ago. He was a unique and wonderful man who touched many, many lives. I will never forget him. May God rest his soul and bring comfort to his lovely wife, his family, and all those who loved him.

Farewell my dear uncle Paul! We are all so sorry here in Germany. But seeing all the wonderful pictures there are so many wonderful memories with a great person. I have enjoyed the little time we have spent together in Germany (Bremerhaven, Wetzlar and Dorum) and the vacation in the USA. All my thoughts are with my aunt Irmtraud, Robert and Greg. Also condolences from his sister Charlotte, his brothers Hugo and Siegfried from Germany.

Rest in peace 1SG Baier. He was my 1SG in Germany at the 284th MP Comany and I consider him the best 1SG I had during my military career. He was tough but fair and I learned a lot from him. I was happy to see him again 2 years ago at a MP reunion and I believe he was happy to see us too. He will be missed.

Godspeed 1Sgt. I had the honor and privilege to meet 1Sgt Baier at an MP reunion at Ft Mac two years ago but have known him for years through the stories told my fellow MPs that served with him in the early 80s. What a great American

We are all very sorry for the loss of such a good man. I have wonderful memories of my time spent with all of you in Alabama. I can picture Uncle Paul digging out his basement and working on his Volvo. He was a wonderful man and will be missed by all of us here in Rochester. With love to all, Barbara Klimek (Baier) and family, Ernst and Inge Baier.

My deepest condolences to your family during this most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory, because those who pass on are precious in his eyes. Psalms 116:15.

I am very sorry to hear of Paul's passing. We first met at USAMPS about 30 years ago. I enjoyed working with him and he was a steadfast and loyal friend during a dark time in my life. Although I didn't see him often since we both retired, it was always a special pleasure when we ran into each other. I will miss him. My condolences to his family for their loss.
