CAMPBELL, Paul “Baldy” – Of Fanning Springs Florida, went home to be with the Lord on September 30th with his family at his side. Paul was born in Hamilton Ohio in July 1936. He was 82 years old. Paul loved going to church, watching the Kentucky Wildcats play basketball and working his word search books. He was an accomplished bowler with many perfect games and high scores. He was proud to wear his 300, 299, and 298 bowling rings everywhere he went and not afraid to share with people the stories behind them. He had many friends and never met a stranger. To most church friends he was known as “The Candy Man”. At every church he attended he would pass out candy. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years Yvonne Campbell; son Shaun (Lisa) Campbell of Chiefland Florida, daughter Heidi (Terry) Valentine of Camden Ohio; grandchildren: Cindy Campbell, Harvey Campbell, Samantha Frazier, Heather Storck, Kelli Booker, Tara McClellan, Jordan Schwegmann, Cody Schwegmann, Seth Campbell, Emma Campbell, and Amber Campbell; 2 brothers Joe Campbell and Jesse (Junior) Campbell, 2 sisters Charlotte Gray and Thelma Wilder. He was preceded in death by his parents William and Jesse Campbell, one son Mike Campbell, one daughter Kim Adams, one granddaughter Madaylynn Campbell, 6 brothers Charlie Campbell, Enos Campbell, Kenny Campbell, Howard Campbell, Buster Campbell, and Dave Campbell; and 1 sister Mildred Link.
A service will be held at 2pm at the North Chiefland Church of God in Chiefland Florida, on October 5th. Visitation will be one hour prior from 1pm – 2pm. Interment following the service at Chiefland Cementery. Officiating will be Rev. Shaun Campbell and Pastor Joe Link. Arrangements are under the care of the Knauff Funeral Home – Chiefland, FL.
