COYLE PAUL PIO, RIP Died 31st August, 2011
Maureen and Francie were given a beautiful baby boy on the 16th June, 1984. They named him Paul Pio. Paul was given 48 hours to live. Our Blessed Lady lent Paul to us for 27 years. Paul lived his life to the full. God gave Paul a beautiful smile and a great sense of humour and a generous nature. Paul's mammy and daddy, his brothers Gerald, Mark, Christopher, his wife Catherine, sister-in-law Orla and extended family circle wish to offer their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who attended the removal, wake and funeral in overwhelming numbers. Special thanks to our dear neighbours in Glenowen Park for their comfort and support during and after Paul's sad passing. Grateful thanks to those who provided lovely food, floral tributes, Mass cards, Perpetual Mass cards, letters of sympathy. Thank you to Dr. Jacinta O'Kane and Bernie of Park Medical. Sincere thanks to the district nurses, Rapid Response nurses for care given to Paul. Our heartfelt appreciation goes to Dr. Black, Acute Medical Ward, Altnagelvin Hospital for his dedication to Paul. Special thanks to Elizabeth England and Sperrin Ward, Altnagelvin Hospital. Our appreciation goes to Dr. McCarthy and Belfast Cancer Centre. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Friends of Cancer, Belfast and Macmillan nurses, your kindness was a great source of help to us at such a sad time. Thanks to Kevin McCorkell and Bernie McLaughlin, Macmillan, Altnagelvin for great support to Paul and his family at a difficult time. Thanks to all the ladies who worked so hard at the wake. Da Vincis Hotel and Beckett's Bar for the lovely food they provided at the wake. Our heartfelt thanks goes to Paul's work colleagues, Maureen Francie's places of work, Da Vincis Hotel, Graham Hunter Shirt Factory. Special thanks to staff of Waterfoot Hotel and staff of First Source for kindness shown. Thanks to Sean's Butchers, Creggan for thinking of us. Owners and staff City Cabs. Rev David Slater, Killaloo Parish Church was a great source of comfort and Paul enjoyed his visits to Belfast City Hospital and Altnagelvin. We thank you sincerely. Our Parish Priests: Fr. McFaul, Deacon Brendan, Fr. Stephen McLaughlin and Fr. Paul Farren for guidance and comfort and a beautiful Funeral Mass. Grateful appreciation to hospital Chaplains: Fr. Farren, Fr. Ferguson. Our dear family friend: Fr. Jimmy McGrory who is always a great source of comfort to us in any time of need, your presence we appreciated. Our thanks to Bradley and McLaughlin for the professional caring way they carried out the funeral. The beautiful singing and music were a fitting tribute to Paul. Thanks also to grave diggers who prepared Paul's final resting place. Our heartfelt thanks goes to City of Derry Rugby Club who gave Paul a beautiful Guard of Honour. Paul loved to play rugby and your memories of Paul touched us and made us very proud that Paul was ours. Our sincere thanks to special people Andy and Grainne and staff of Da Vincis who provided great support and help and the beautiful funeral lunch. Christine Cowley, Fiona, Cecilia and Maggie our dear friends who were with us at a very difficult time, your presence was appreciated. We know our Paul would have been touched and overwhelmed by the kindness shown by everyone. Unnamed individuals whose actions and words will always be held close to our hearts and have not gone unnoticed. When you feel your sorrow is a burden, too great to bear, remember beautiful angels and your loved one will be there. Our Lady of Knock intercede for Paul.
Paul's Month Mind Mass will be offered in St. Eugene's Cathedral on Wednesday, 28th September at 7.25 p.m. Everyone welcome.
