Paul Crossfield Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 6, 2025.
Oklahoma City - Paul Ross Crossfield, beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away on May 5, 2025 at the age of 76. He was born in Midwest City, Oklahoma, to Ruby Oleta Crossfield and Pinkney Ray Crossfield. Paul built a life rooted in hard work, humor, and a deep appreciation for the world around him.

For over 50 years, Paul was a well-known figure in the Oklahoma City small business community as the owner of Autohaus Sports Cars. His dealership, once located off Sooner Road on I-40 and famously marked by a '57 Chevrolet perched on the roof, was a testament to his lifelong passion for cars and his entrepreneurial spirit.

Beyond his career, Paul was a man of many interests. He loved to travel, enjoyed classic movies, and had an enduring fondness for oldies music, NFL football, and NBA basketball. He had a soft spot for animals and loved dogs especially. His sharp wit and comedic timing brought laughter to those around him. He never missed an opportunity to discuss the latest news, and was always ready to watch a Thunder game.

Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his daughter Amy Crossfield. He is survived by his two daughters, Paula Crossfield, and Courtney Crossfield; his sister, Sharon Cornell; and his brother, Pat Crossfield and his wife Debbie, his nieces and nephews: Julie Cornell, Paul Cornell, Karrie Freeman, Cameron Cornell, Jeff Crossfield and Dustin Crossfield. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A celebration of life for Paul and his daughter Amy, who passed in March, will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Oklahoma Palliative and Hospice Care as a thank you for the wonderful care Paul received on hospice.

I was so shocked and sad to hear today 5-21-25 about Paul and didn't even know he was in bad health so hard to believe. I sure liked Paul and Pat, they grew up down the street from me. They both were awesome athletes especially basketball. And so successful in business together. I hope I didn't miss Paul's service hopefully will hear and go if not already happened. Paul will sure be missed. Sincerely Rick Horner also a Carl Albert HS Alumni.

The world lost a good guy. Going to school and being a teammate with Paul was a great experience. I always considered him a friend and he was great person to be around. I loved his sense of humor and he definitely will be missed. Condolences to his family.
