Paul Dunajski Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 2, 2025.
Marblehead – Paul R. Dunajski 76, beloved husband of Michelle (Ford) Dunajski, died August 31, 2025 at Salem Hospital.

Born in Salem, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary (Quinn) Dunajski. A graduate of Bishop Fenwick High School, Paul went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Bridgewater State College. He later received a Master's degree in Psychology and Guidance from Springfield College.

Paul began his professional career as a guidance counselor at East Longmeadow High School. He later transitioned into the high-tech industry, where he worked as a logistics manager for Atex Media Solutions and Sycamore Networks.

In retirement, Paul returned to his roots in education, working part-time as a paraprofessional in the Special Education Department at Danvers High School - a role in which he found great joy and purpose.

Paul will be remembered for his quiet strength, his willingness to always listen, and his love of a good inside joke. His wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all who knew him.

He cherished making memories with his loved ones, especially his granddaughter, Natalie, traveling with his childhood friends, and spending countless hours tending to his garden beds to make his yard even more beautiful. He found comfort and unwavering love in the warm embrace of Michelle's family, who became his own.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Maura Plomondon and her husband, Dustin of Manchester by the Sea, a son, Ryan Dunajski of Peabody, a granddaughter, Natalie Quinn Plomondon of Manchester by the Sea and a sister-in-law, Peg Dunajski of Henderson, NV. He also leaves behind his devoted wife's family. He was predeceased by his daughter, Mary Catherine Dunajski and his brother, Walter Dunajski.

ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 3 Margin St., Peabody, Friday, September 5, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Conway Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, Thursday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Burial will be private. Dear Michelle, how does one even begin to grieve a mench of a man. Sitting here in Main and trying to imagine the gravity of your loss.
I am so sad for you that you have this very big loss from a man who was so highly respected and loved by all. We missed Paul´s funeral by only a few hours as we flew in that day. I was so disappointed.
I am with you in spirit and know you are surrounded with love.
I don´t have your #, but call Joanie if you are free on Thursday!?
God bless you and all at this very difficult time.

Even though I have only had a few conversations with Paul over the years he was a very kind soul. He could tackle any topic and put a nice spin on it.I wish I could have spent much more time with him as he had a lot of interesting things he experienced in life.
May his memory be eternal
