Paul Elrick Obituary
He was born Jan. 9, 1911, in Blairsville, son of Samuel and Mary Silvis El-rick. A lifelong resident of Blairsville, he was a member of Blairsville United Presbyterian Church where he was an elder and member of the Men's Fellowship class. He was a member of the Blairsville Grange 2012. He graduated from Blairsville High School with the class of 1929. He retired as a foreman in 1976 after 41 years of service with the Blairsville Wilbert Vault Company. He is survived by his wife Sarah K. Gerhard Elrick, whom he married July 16, 1937; Also a son, Raymond P. and wife, Sharon, of Blairsville; a daughter, Mrs. Daniel (Katherine) Thomas, Vero Beach, Fla.; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters: Marie Andre and Genevieve, and a brother, Kenneth. Funeral services were held Monday at Blairsville UPC, Dr. Roger D. Petersen officiating. Interment was in Blairsville Cemetery, Shoemaker Funeral Home in charge.
