Paul Entzminger
February 26, 1932 - June 8, 2021
Meridian, Idaho - When tomorrow starts without me, don't think for a moment that we are far apart, for every time you think of me, I am right here in your heart.
Paul Entzminger was called to be with his precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on June 8, 2021. Service to celebrate his life will be held at 2pm, August 14, 2021, at Meridian United Methodist Church, 240 E Idaho, Meridian, ID. In lieu of flowers, please consider financial contributions to the Youth Ministry through Meridian United Methodist Church.
Paul was born Feb 26, 1932, on a farm North of Kulm, North Dakota, in LaMoure County. He moved with his parents to Kulm, N.D. in 1943. Upon graduation from Kulm High School in 1949, he attended a Practical Trade School in Minneapolis, MN to learn the refrigeration repair trade. He was not able to follow this career because he was subject to draft during the Korean War. 1951 he enlisted in the US Air Force and served for 20 years in Medical Administration.
His career in the US Air Force took him to Texas, New Mexico, Germany, Wyoming, Nebraska, Puerto Rico and finally to Mountain Home AFB, Idaho where he retired. Following retirement from the US Air Force he joined St Alphonsus Regional Medical Center, Boise, Idaho where he served 20 years on the Hospital Management Team. He retired from St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center on August 31, 1991 and continued to remain active with his varied hobbies: Volunteering; Big Game and Upland Game Hunting; Rock Hunting along with cutting and polishing the rocks; Making jewelry; Plastic Canvas crafts; Gardening; Fishing; RVing; ATVing; Boating; Metal Detecting; and computer. He never lacked something to do.
He was very active in his church and constantly struggled with knowing for sure whether he was doing the work God intended him to do or whether he was self-serving. His greatest love was the Friday Night "WE PRAY MINISTRY" Team. He utilized his skills learned from the Stephen Ministry Training. He enjoyed Bible Study as he truly loved people. He hurt when someone would take advantage of anyone, especially children and women. His heart's desire is that everyone should come to know their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and have a personal relationship with Him.
He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. His real joy was to minister to the needs of his lovely wife of 55 years, especially the last 3 months of her life when everything was geared to her time until she passed away December 18, 2008. Along came another blessing. Jerene Baker came into his life and they were married November 11, 2011. Jerene filled his life with love and laughter.
Survivors include his wife, Jerene Entzminger, Two Sons, Three Daughters, and their spouses. Three Stepdaughters. Thirteen Grandchildren, Nine Great Grandchildren. One Sister and one Sister-in-Law. Many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife (Precious Esther), three brothers and two sisters, Four sister-in-laws, and three brothers-in-laws.
Special Thank you to Keystone Hospice for their Love and Support

Best grandfather that you could ever ask for... He is (and will be) missed, but never forgotten. He gave his all to all of us and others, and left this world leaving it far better than when he entered it.

I will always remember him for the fishing trips and constant encouragement and love. My wife and daughter were every bit as loved by him as me, and I love him even more for that as well.
