Joanna Apanewicz Obituary
Joanna "Joan" Apanewicz, 94, of Clarksville, died Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Westminster Healthcare Center, Clarksville.
She was the former Joan Kaczmarek, a retired zipper-setter for the KnitGoods Co., a member of the Polish National Alliance, the ILGW Union, St. Dominic Church in Philadelphia, and attended Northside Christian Church in New Albany.
Survivors include her son, Richard Apanewicz, of Pennsylvania; daughter, Mary Tees, of Florida; daughter-in-law, Yolanda Apanewicz, of California; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Apanewicz Sr. and son, Frank Apanewicz Jr.
Visitation will be in the Oak Street Chapel of Seabrook Dieckmann & Naville Funeral Homes, New Albany, from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday.
Services and burial will be private in Philadelphia.
The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of contributions to St. Dominic Church, 8504 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA, 19136.
