Paul Dewane Gordon

Paul Dewane Gordon, born on March 31, 1962, in London, England, passed away on June 28, 2024, at the age of 62 in Atwater, CA. He was predeceased by his father, James. His mother, Essie Mae, passed on July 23, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Doreen; sister, Deborah; and cousin, Teresa. Paul is also survived by many extended family members.

Paul was a man of gentle spirit, known for his kindness and generosity. Quiet and soft-spoken, he always made sure to express his love and appreciation for those around him. He graduated from Atwater High School and took classes at Merced College, which furthered his passion for learning and problem-solving.

Paul proudly served in the Army, where he embraced the challenges and camaraderie that came with military life. After his service, he dedicated his career to the maintenance of schools, supporting teachers and students alike until his retirement in 2011. His work was not just a job but a lifelong commitment to improving educational environments.

In his leisure, Paul enjoyed movies and music, which were sources of joy and relaxation for him. He found great pleasure in the simple moments, whether it was watching a classic film or listening to his favorite tunes.

Services will be held on August 26th at 12:30 pm, San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery, Santa Nella, CA.

Paul's life and legacy will be remembered fondly by all who knew him, as a beacon of support and a true friend. His gentle presence will be deeply missed.
