PAUL D.
Age 55, unexpectedly, on Wednesday, October 30, 2013, of Whitehall. Beloved husband of 31 years to Kathy (Murray) Griener; devoted father of Matthew, Caitlin and Daniel Griener; loving son of the late Pete and Jane Griener; brother of Thomas (Lisa), Michael (Sue), David (Stacey) and Dennis (Jeannie); son-in-law of Patricia and the late Robert Murray; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, brothers, and sisters-in-law. Paul was very active in the youth sports organizations in the Baldwin-Whitehall area and a member of the Chartiers Valley Umpire Association (CVUA). He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Friends will be received at the JOHN F. SLATER FUNERAL HOME, INC., 412-881-4100, 4201 Brownsville Road, Brentwood 15227, Sunday from 6-8 p.m. and Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Prayer on Tuesday morning at 9:00. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Sylvester Church at 10:00 a.m. Please send condolences to:

Dear Kathy and family,
Michele and I send our deepest condolences to you and your family. From our kids playing youth sports, to High School sports, to me umpiring with Paul, to us sharing dinners together at Umpire golf outings. I'll dearly miss Paul. He always was happy and upbeat and, really was, one of the nicest guys I've ever known. Paul, along with you and your family, will forever be in our prayers. We'll miss you Paul.

Just heard of Paul's passing when at a mass today at St. Gabe's. You all have My deepest sympathy. I worked with Paul through his shoulder rehab., and again a few years later for his hip rehab. He Also brought in and picked up his mom when she came in do therapy. It was always a pleasure to work with and talk with Paul. He was an upbeat guy and worked hard to regain his health.. Among his chats were good words concerning his family. I'm sure
