What can I say about Paul, we shared many years at Assumption Academy, a very good friend, great teammate, and a caring soul. Paul we shared many memories together at Assumption, may you rest in piece, until we meet again once again, say hi to Bozo and Balls.

To all family members and friends of Paul, I'm very sorry for you loss. Had the opportunity to grow up knowing Paul, from the fun times at Assumption, playing baseball and basketball. I would say focusing on academics but i would be lying. Can still remember like they were yesterday the many nights spent at Jim Ballway's house with the entire gang sipping on miller quickies from Ikes Superette.

I feel horrible that i missed the services, Pauli you are now in a better place reminiscing with other loved ones that were lost.

Always loved you like a brother, you were genuine and that is the best trait anyone can have.

My thoughts are with you Patti, and Paul's family. I last saw Paul at our impromptu class reunion Sept 2018. Paul was full of life and laughter and only wanted to talk about good moments and memories. He was one of the good guys and he will be missed.

my deepest sympathy to the entire gruner--wenzel family--even though I was a few years older (aca 67)--paul and I would see each other hit and miss over the years--always a warm hello and great smile--rip paul--

Thanks Paulie. For the many laughs. The time spent playing for ACA and the Schiller Park knuckle heads. You always managed to pull my wild pitches out of the dirt. Amazing!
I'm sad for us left behind, but now you are in the very presence of our Savior Jesus. What unspeakable joy you now have forever.
I know I will see you again at the wedding of the Lamb of God. Until then my friend.
Your friend. Dickie Howell

Can't believe you are really gone. I went to school with you from K-12 and loved your humor, manners, and the way you starred at basketball. So happy that we reconnected at our class reunions. You are gone, but will never be forgotten. We will save a place for you at our reunion next fall. Patty, Mrs. Gruner, Eddy, Mark, and family I am very sorry for your loss. R.I.P. Paul.

Paul and I have known each other for 50 years. I didn't get to see him often, but when I did he always had a hug and a smile for me. We had a lot of fun in high school, even though I went to SJBA. The Assumption kids and SJBA kids were always friends....they taught us that in Catholic Schools! I will miss knowing that I may run into him at any time, and I pray that God welcomes him into His kingdom with open arms!
