Paul Douglas Hollis Sr, 81, of ELLIJAY, GA, passed away on February 6, 2024. He was born on February 13, 1942, in Nashville, TN. Paul was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend.

He was born in 1942 in Nashville, Tennessee to William and Virginia Hollis. He married in 1960 after graduating from East Nashville High School. After his retirement, he built a home in Coosawatee River Resort in Ellijay, GA, where he was involved in the Good Neighbor Club and served as a Board Member for Roads and Maintenance. Paul had a deep love for music, dancing, philosophy, God, and his family. He was known for his strength, intelligence, and kindness, and his memory will forever be cherished.

Paul is survived by his children Dana Lynn Shriner, Paul D. Hollis Jr, and Jennifer D. DiPuma, and their mother Judy P. Hollis. He was the beloved grandfather of Mary Beth Mitchell, Christopher Hollis, Brittany Hollis Bova, Chad Hunter Hollis, and Dominic DiPuma II. Additionally, he was a cherished great-grandfather to Kayden Odum, Ethan Odum, Elijah Craig, Kaitlyn Craig, Skyler Bova, Jaxson Bova, and Blakely Bova. Paul is also survived by his sister Patricia Hollis Searl.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Shelby Hollis, mother, Virginia R. Hollis Holder, and life companion, Glenda Garner.

Paul began his career at Otis Elevator in 1961 and dedicated 35 years of service, retiring at the age of 50. Many of those years were spent at Coca Cola in Atlanta, GA, working for Otis Elevator Maintenance as a Supervisor.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that all charitable donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org) and The American Alzheimer's Foundation (alzfdn.org) in memory of Paul D. Hollis Sr.

Paul will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those he touched.
