I am very sorry to hear this news. I met Paul at a conference in 1993. Paul always welcomed new ideas and encouraged students in the field of functional programming. He also appreciated my work and wrote a letter of recommendation that helped me with my immigration. I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to Paul. I pray to almighty that his family derives strength to bear this loss. He is a blessed soul. Loving regards, Sastry

Cathy,
Although it has been many years since I had the pleasure of Paul's and your company, I remember our many times together with such joy and gratitude. Paul was one of the kindest, nicest, most gifted and generous people I have had the pleasure to know. I wish you, your daughters, and your extended family my love and prayers in this difficult time, and in the better times to come as well!

When we lose loved ones no words can remove the pain felt by the family and friends. Memories can bring back good times and thoughts of being with our cherished ones. May the inner peace that comes from comfort you receive from others help bring some relief. My most sincere condolence for your loss.

Paul surely made his mark on countless children and young adults through his work in soccer and lacrosse and in education. His work is still evident and appreciated in the ever growing populations in both the soccer and lacrosse communities in Hamden, Cheshire and surrounding towns. Paul obviously lived and breathed the motto "Grow the game".

Paul was one of the kindest and most gentle people I have ever been blessed to know. He was an inspiration to his nephew Justin as well as countless other young people on the campuses of the universities that he worked on. I'm quite certain that his beautiful spirit will live on in the lives of those who knew him and loved him. Tommy and I are sending our most sincere condolences to the entire family. Peace be with you all at this very difficult time.
