Paul "Buddy" Jeffers passed away on March 22, 2025, in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Born on July 15, 1947, in Santa Barbara, California, he lived in Ashley, Illinois for many years before relocating to Richlands, NC in 1978. After his retirement in 2008 from a long career as a machinist with General Electric Aircraft Division, he and his wife Marie spent their time between their home in Richlands and their RV in Cherokee, NC.

Paul honorably served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps from 1966 to 1969. As a Vietnam veteran, he demonstrated unwavering commitment to his country and was stationed at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina between deployments.

Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Patricia (Marie) Jeffers;

sisters Ruth Reidelberger and Linda Braden, and brothers Lewis Dean (Billy) Jeffers and James Robert Jeffers (wife Janet). Paul was a loving father to his five children; daughters Karlene Trudell and Jeraldine Seymour (husband Ronald Seymour); sons James Jeffers (wife Amy Jeffers), Kenneth Jeffers (wife Stacy Jeffers), and Gregory Jeffers (fiancee, Nicole Francis). He was also a cherished Papa to Steven Seymour, Katherine Marcel, Joslyn Altomare, Taylor Jeffers, Wyatt Jeffers, and Ethan Jeffers. His legacy continues in his great grandson, Phoenix Seymour.

Paul was predeceased by his mother, Thelma Thompson and brother Geno Jeffers.

Paul will be interred with full military honors in a private family service at the Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, NC at a later date. May his legacy live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
