Paul David Langworthy, 71, of Brooksville, Florida, passed away Saturday, October 16th at 4:43 a.m. He was born in Jesse, West Virginia and came here 63 years ago from West Virginia. Paul lived in Greeneville, Tennessee for 6 years and had just returned to Brooksville to be with his family. Paul loved God, his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren above all else. Next came his love for Gospel Music which he did for many years and lastly, Real Estate for which he was well known. He loved to spend time in the mountains of Tennessee and had many friends there, especially Jr. Carter & family, Jesse Bowman, Keith Reaves & family and Dr. A.K. Sen and his staff at the East Tennessee Oncology & Hematology Clinic. He was preceded in death by: Infant son, Paul David Langworthy II, Father and Mother, Tony & Minnie Langworthy, Granddaughter-Savannah McNeal, and four sisters, Drusetta Duncan, Beatrice Martin, Marie Cook, and Gertrude Bailey. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Glenda Langworthy of Brooksville, Florida. Children - Kendra Sittig & Son-in-Law Michael Sittig, Davida McNeal & Son-in-law Drew McNeal, John Alan Langworthy & Daughter-in-law Melanie Langworthy, Denise Baldoni, all of Brooksville, Florida and Tony Samuel Langworthy II of St. Petersburg, FL. Grandchildren - Joshua Sittig and his fiance Erin Velazquez, Connor Sittig, Kristi Langworthy, Paul David Langworthy III and his fiancé Misty Goodwin, Jacob Langworthy, Kaitlyn Langworthy, Camden Langworthy, Whitney Fifer, Chace Bedford, Megan Bedford, Andrew McNeal, Louie Baldoni, Alex Baldoni, Samuel Baldoni, and Christian Baldoni all of Brooksville, FL. Great-Granddaughters - Jessa Leigh Sittig and Kinsley Brooke Langworthy of Brooksville, FL. Mother-in-law – Margaret Yancey of Brooksville, FL. Brothers - Norval (Lois) Langworthy, Kenneth (Peg) Langworthy, and Jack (Lounette) Langworthy. Sisters – Mary Stewart, Shirley (Jim) Burnette, Yvonne (Jiggs) Lanier, Willie Rose Smith, and Parthena Neeley and many nieces and nephews all of whom he loved very deeply. Friends will be received on Friday, October 22nd from 6-8 p.m. at the Brooksville Chapel of Brewer & Sons Funeral Homes. A gathering in Paul’s memory will be held on Saturday, October 23rd from 10-11 a.m. with a service following at Eden Baptist Church with Pastor Kelley Looper officiating. Even though a few years have gone by, I still think of my friend Paul. He was always happy, a bit of a cut up, and we usually had a good laugh when we ran into each other in town. I miss those times and my friend. My thoughts are with the family.

I will always remember the times that he visited Takoma Hospital, he was always making all us associates in radiology laugh and smile. He will greatly be missed by us. Langworthy family, you all are in our thoughts and prayers. may the Lord be with you in your time of need. Paul will be greatly missed.
