Paul Manganiello Sr Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Oct. 25, 2022.
Paul Joseph Manganiello Sr., 82, went home to be with his Lord on Saturday, October 22, 2022, after courageously battling a long illness.

Paul was born on April 3, 1940, in Exeter, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Grace Manganiello. He graduated from Exeter High School in 1958 and attended King's College and the University of Tampa. He lived in Williamsport, Pennsylvania most of his life and relocated to Eatontown, New Jersey several years ago to be closer to his family and grandchildren. He was a retired Pennsylvania State Policeman and filled his professional career with many other accomplishments including being a small business owner and independent financial services professional. Even in retirement, Paul loved interacting with people, so naturally he became an UBER driver and made several trips a week driving his clients to and from the Newark and JFK airports.

Paul had a passion for many things in his life including spending time with his family, friends, and his beloved dog Raynee, going to the beach, and cheering on the Philadelphia sports teams including the Phillies, Eagles and Penn State. He got so much joy from watching his grandchildren grow up and cheering them on at their sporting events. If you didn't know where Paul was, he was likely at the local Starbucks drinking his iced coffee and making new friends or attending a Bible study.

In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his siblings, Gloria Watson and John (Jack) and Robert (Bobby) Manganiello. He is survived by his wife Louise (Pogozelski) Manganiello of 48 years and 4 children; Paul Manganiello Jr (Suzanne) of Doylestown, PA; Maria Bartkavage (Matthew) of Allentown, PA; Jeff Ryan (Kristi) of Omaha, NE and Jessica Hamburg (Brian) of Little Silver, NJ. Paul is also survived by his six grandchildren whom he adored: Victoria Bartkavage, Max Manganiello, Selah and Levi Ryan and Reid and Maya Hamburg. And finally, he is survived by his 2 sisters, Alice Fiorilli and Ann Marie Macijowsky as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate Paul's life will be held at 11am on Saturday, October 29th at Tower Hill Church 255 Harding Rd, Red Bank, NJ 07701

Louise, Sandy and I are so sorry to hear about Paul. We have so many fond memories with both of you. Paul led me to giving my heart to Christ about 26 years ago and to first attend Bible Study Fellowship in Williamsport. I've been a part of leadership in Allentown for years and now the Substitute Teaching Leader. There were many nights spent sitting and chatting, mostly about our faith. He was a cornerstone in my faith walk with Christ and he will never be forgotten. There is no telling how many souls were saved because he helped save me. I am forever grateful. My heart breaks but also filled with joy that Paul is home now with the Lord, I'm sure smiling and laughing while sharing stories, much like he did where ever he went. God bless and one day we will all be together again.
