Paul Miele Obituary
Bound Brook - It is with a heavy heart that the Miele family announces the passing of Paul Miele, at the age of 88, surrounded by his family. He is now relaxing in a lounge chair, watching the beautiful sunset, the dolphins and his beloved Big Blue Heron. Paul was the son of James and Felicia (DiLeonardo) Miele. He was predeceased by his wife, Joan (Grogan) Miele, his son, JP, and his sister, Dolly Conway. He leaves behind his loving companion of many years, Marguerite Tomassetti, his children, Kathy Drury, and her husband Joe, Patty Esposito and her husband Jim, and Johnell Smith, and her husband Pal; his grandchildren, Jenna Grooms and husband, Tony, Jeremy Smith, Connor, Emily, and Reilly Esposito, Jimmy Miele, and Danny Miele and his wife Hannah.
Paul was owner and operator of Michael James Cleaners in Bound Brook, the family business originally started by his father in 1936 and owned until his retirement in 2006. Active within his community, Paul was a long time member of the Raritan Valley Country Club, a proud member of the 200 Club of Somerset County, a member of the Bound Brook Rotary Club and a recipient of the prestigious Paul Harris Award. He was an avid golfer, skier and world traveler, and a fan of Villanova Basketball. Paul loved his home on the water in St. Petersburg, FL, where he spent his winters and then headed north for the summers at the Jersey Shore. The best of both worlds - as he always said.
Gathering with the family will be 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM, Friday, April 27, 2018, at Hagan-Chamberlain Funeral Home, 225 Mountain Ave., Bound Brook. Funeral Services will begin 9:30 AM Saturday, April 28, at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Bound Brook Cemetery. The Miele family asks that a good deed be done in Paul's name.

We are so very sorry to hear that Paul has passed. A mentor to me for many years, Paul was always one with the wisdom I needed to get through the hardships of life. My Wife Alicia and I Loved him like a Father and will forever hold fond memories of him in our hearts. May the Lord Hold him close, and may he forever rest in paradise. God bless you Paul Miele, and God Bless your family.
