A funeral service will be held at the Connelly Funeral Home of Essex, 300 Mace Ave., on Saturday at 10 a.m. Visiting hours on Friday 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Entombment Holly Hill Memorial Gardens. Contributions may be made to Dev. Dept. UPMC Cancer Pav., Suite 1-B, 5150 Centre Ave., Pittsburg, PA 15231, Memo: Paul Pelfrey.

Hey dad, just wanna let you know that I´m thinking about you and I miss you still seems like yesterday and it´s been years. I still lay in bed and talk to you and look for your advice. I´m turning 46 this year and I find myself still having daddy issues, I feel like you were taking way too soon. Every time I go to the beach it takes me back to you. I just want you to know that not one moment goes by that you´re not missed and thought about your grandkids talk about you memories come up all the time , I love you to the moon and back and just know that you´ve never been forgotten. Dear dad, I didn´t even know that we could post on this page anymore until I was laying here thinking about you and I wanted to look up pictures. I just want you to know that I miss you more than anything and it hasn´t gotten any easier I´ve just learned how to deal with it I guess so many times I want to reach out and hear your voice and look for your fatherly advice I miss your warm in brace and the smile on your face a lot of things have happened over the last 12 years since you´ve been gone all the boys The boys have grown up and they´re having children of their own I wish you were around to see it but I do want to say thank you for always watching over us good things have happened bad things have happened but we´re all maintaining. What a wonderful love letter I would open from you this morning. So I am compelled and transcended to reply.
There are things in life that are inevitable; I am powerless to control them. The Sun will rise and set, the tide will come in and go out, the seasons will change, the birds will fly South for the winter and return in the spring, and the caterpillar will transform itself into a beautiful butterfly. Somehow, I feel reassured by this because many other things in life are so transient - so momentary.
