Paul Marquis Perkins

Paul Perkins, 75, of Roanoke, Virginia, passed away on April 17, 2025, in his hometown. Born on December 2, 1949, in Roanoke, Paul lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a deep appreciation for the outdoors.

A proud veteran, Paul served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. His time in the military reflected his strength and commitment-qualities that would define him throughout his life.

Paul was known for his exceptional mechanical skills. A gifted mechanic who could repair just about anything, he spent many years driving tractor trailers and working tirelessly to support those around him. His strong work ethic and hands-on expertise earned him respect from all who knew him.

Beyond his professional life, Paul was an avid outdoorsman who found joy in nature's quiet beauty. Whether hunting, fishing, or simply spending time outside, he embraced the natural world with enthusiasm and reverence.

Family was at the heart of everything Paul did. He is lovingly remembered by his sons Scotty Perkins and wife Alisha, and Kevin Perkins and wife Lynea; seven grandchildren: Forrest Holland and wife Lindsey, Josh McKinnon and wife Emily, Allison Perkins, Payton Perkins, Lexi Perkins, Kenzie LaPradd, and Carter Perkins; as well as five great-grandchildren who brought him immense pride and joy. He also leaves behind his sister Betty Joyce.

Paul was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dolores Perkins; sons Gary and Bobby Perkins; parents Edith and Paul Perkins; brothers Phillip and Ronnie Perkins; and sisters Regina Perkins and Mary Jane Perkins.

Those who knew Paul will remember a man who loved deeply and gave generously. He would do anything for his family-a legacy of devotion that lives on through each generation he helped shape. As we say goodbye to Paul, we take comfort in knowing he is reunited with Dolores once more.

He is now dancing in heaven with his wife again. Paul will be forever in our hearts.
