Paul Price, longtime resident of Durant, passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at the age of 89 years, 3 months and 29 days. Paul was born on June 11, 1925 in Wewoka, Oklahoma to William Allen and Lora (Blue) Price.
Paul and Norma Jean Shoemake were united in marriage on September 9, 1951 in Durant and they have been blessed with 63 years together. Paul proudly served his country in the United States Army and later worked as a paint contractor. He was a faithful member of the Believer's Church in Durant and the I.O.O.F. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, going to garage sales and baseball. He loved to watch the Texas Rangers and Dallas Cowboys, but his greatest joy was the time he spent with his family.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, William and Lora Price; brothers, William Price Jr. and Bobby Price; and sisters, Faye Eaton, Paula Ruth Ostheimer and Mary Naomi Turner.
Paul is survived by his wife, Norma Price of the home; children, Paula Price of Norman, OK, Earl Price of Barton Mills, United Kingdom, Michael Price and wife Tara of Oklahoma City, OK and J. Scott Price and wife Melissa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Cristina Beaty and husband Kenneth, Lori Brewer and husband Jason, Rachel Overturf and husband Bobby, Jauny Price, Julianna Price and Katie Price; 6 great grandchildren; 3 nephews and numerous extended family and dear friends.
A celebration of Paul's life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at the Believer's Church in Durant. Dr. Michael Bradley, Rev. Charles Dean and Rev. H.H. Davis will officiate. Joe Shoemake, Gary Hamill, Larry Choate, Matthew Cortinas, Martin Willingham and Alton Culbreath will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Sam Shoemake, Don Herron, Jerry Thompson, Jay Sinyma, Jay West, John Price and Katie Price. The family will receive friends at Brown's Funeral Service on Monday evening from 5-7 PM. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.brownsfuneralservice.com.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brown's Funeral Service, Durant.

Dear Price Family,
