Paul L. Rivard
Paul L. Rivard, 74, of Marysville, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 6, 2016.
He was born January 24, 1942 in Mt. Clemens to the late Orelius and Mable Rivard. He married Cindy Bryce Lester on May 2, 1991 in Las Vegas NV.
Paul owned and operated Paul Rivard Construction Inc. in Marysville and for many years operated Paul's Party Store at the corner of Gratiot and Wadhams. He was very active in the community and would be found many nights serving fish at the Marysville American Legion and Moose Lodge for various fund raising projects. He was an avid hunter and fisherman, and loved spending time with his family.
Paul was a member of the Marysville American Legion Post 449 - Sons of the Legion, Moose Lodge #158 and Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3702.
He is survived by his wife Cindy; three children, Pamela (Erik) Wurmlinger, Paul (Sheri) Rivard and Lisa (Matt) Warren; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Zachary and Danielle Miller, Paul and Kirsten Rivard, Keegan and Madelyn Warren; two sisters, Judy (Richard) Meinhardt and Elizabeth Hansen; and many nieces, nephews and cousins; and his two dogs, Max and Milo. He was preceded in death by three siblings, Thomas Rivard, Dorothy Couman and Peanut Rivard.
Visitation will be from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Scripture Service will be held at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
Mr. Rivard will lie in state in St. Christopher Catholic Church on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate.
Memorials may be made to St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.

Paul was a great guy,he will be greatly missed , I first meet him working at Jacks Tavern , I loved just talking to him My sincere condolences go out to his family , his son Paul Jr,and his daughter pam. With tears in my eyes,I will always remember him Jimmy D.

Paul did a lot of volunteering and fund raising for Post 449. Thursday night fish fries and other projects were the things that he excelled at. He was also a good friend and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed.
