Paul V. Schrock, age 85, resident of Mansfield and longtime Shelby resident died Thursday, April 11, 2013 at his home. Born February 28, 1928 in Smithville, Ohio to Vernon and Mae (Malcuitt) Schrock he came to Shelby in 1972 where he resided until moving to Mansfield in 2003. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Paul, along with his wife, Veramae, daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Bob Simmons were the owners of Paul's Drive-In for 32 years. A member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, he attended Crossroads Community Church. A car and motorcycle enthusiast, Paul loved showing his cars and bikes at area car shows. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and was a member of the Chapter B Goldwing Motor Cycle Club of Mansfield. Paul was a friend to everyone and never knew a stranger. Survivors include his daughter, Linda (Robert) Simmons of Shelby; two grandchildren, Troy Simmons of Mansfield and Dana (Josh) Adkins of Shelby; two great granddaughters, Morgan and Megan Adkins and twin great grandchildren due in August; his sister, Shirley Dotson of Wooster, nieces, nephews and special friend, Helen Prosser of Mansfield. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Veramae (Ford) Schrock, in 1999 and one brother, Howard Schrock. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 15, 2013 at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Shelby. Reverend Edna Stahl and Pastor Ron Biddle will officiate with interment in Shauck Cemetery, Johnsville. Friends may call at the Barkdull Funeral Home Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorial expressions may be made to Trintiy United Methodist Church, 209 E. Main St., Shelby, OH 44875.
