Paul P. Stefanowicz

Paul P. Stefanowicz, 85 a resident of the PA Soldiers & Sailors Home died there Friday February 10, 2012. He was born June 28, 1926 in Erie, son of the late Stanley and Catherine Piskunowicz Stefanowicz. Paul was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. He was a retired truck driver. He enjoyed Polka dancing, reading and cross word puzzles and was a member of Polish Falcons Nest 610 and the American Legion Post 771. Paul also was the only honorary member of the Guardians USA Vets Blue & White. He was preceded in death by his wife Hedwig Bryce Stefanowicz, his son Paul Stefanowicz and six sisters, Edna Justka, Josephine Hudalla, Anna Buszek, Helen Stefanowicz, Stella Stefanowicz, and Sadie Sulewski. Survivors include his daughter Marlene Stefanowicz of Erie, and his son Dan Stefanowicz and wife Lyly of Los Angeles Calif., and granddaughter Brittney Peterson. Friends may call at the Soldiers & Sailors Home Chapel, 560 East 3rd St. on Tuesday February 28, 2012 from 12:30 p.m. to the time of the Mass of Christian Burial there at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be in Soldiers & Sailors Home Cemetery with full military honors.
