We are still so sad to lose such a great man but, we are always sharing memories of Paul and get together and wear his Hawaiian style shirts when we do and tell stories at the Roadhouse with his buddies, Tom Sullivan (Sully), Goo-man, Bill & Smitty just to name a few. We are still getting his famous Hot-Mild sauce that he introduced us to.

Dear Marta and Family,
We are deeply saddened by the news of Paul's passing. He was a wonderful man and friend. News about his declining health from Russ and Sue these past months saddened us as well.
We are in our second week in Alaska and so unable to offer our condolences personally. Please know you and yours are daily in our thoughts and prayers. We pray for your healing.
Paul will be sorely missed by so very many people.

With sympathy,

Sending much love to the Vogelpohl family. I loved Paul and will forever hold dear to my heart the many wonderful laughs we've shared including the one about acres. What an amazing group of children he's raised and beautiful Marta - sending you a hug. I will miss Paul dearly.

Paul lived across the street from my Grandma for many many years. She always felt comforted that he was there because he was a police officer, and also because she knew if she ever needed something she could reach out to him. A truly great guy, and he will definitely be missed.

I have to say I have been blessed to be friends with Chris and Stacey and their children. My sons are good friends with their sons and thus we have spent many years watching sports together. I ALWAYS enjoyed seeing Mr. Vogelpohl at those events. His firm hand shake, his thoughtful conversations, and personality made each game even more enjoyable. Prayers to you and your family.

The Vogelpohl family lived a few doors down from my family on Relleum Avenue. I remember Paul's parents as wonderful neighbors. Paul's siblings were mostly older than my siblings but I do recall playing games at the Vogelpohl residence, His entire family was always warm to my family. Paul's dedication to the city via the police department was based on his faith and value system. That love of family and concern for others is so evident in his own children (two of whom, Eric and Chris, followed their father's footsteps in the CPD). We have lost a good man who was a good husband, a good father and a good friend to so many others. May eternal light shine upon him and may he rest in peace.

Paul certainly was an Inspiration to everyone he met. Everything that made him so very special will live on through our memories . I don't believe he ever met a stranger and we will never forget his sense of humor, his laughter, his smile.I could go on & on. We pray the legacy of love he left behind, will be a source of strength & comfort during this difficult time. He will be truly missed.
With love & our deepest sympathies, Terry & Bev Schoch
