Paula Fleetwood Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Feb. 2 to Feb. 4, 2010.
Paula Lynn FleetwoodFeb. 18, 1971 — Jan. 30, 2010Paula Lynn Fleetwood, 38, passed away Saturday, Jan. 30, 2010 in Duncan.Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 4, at New Hope Baptist Church West, with Dow Pannell and David Spangler officiating. Burial will be in the Cyril Cemetery in Cyril, under the direction of Callaway-Smith-Cobb Funeral Home in Marlow.Paula was born Feb. 18, 1971 in Duncan, to Murray Savage and Marcia (Hester) Savage. Paula attended school and lived in the Duncan area all of her life. Paula married Timmy Fleetwood on Sept. 2, 1986 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked as a secretary for Tobey Baldwin. Paula was a member of Fair Baptist Church and attended Ray of Hope Church. Paula was a very special and unique person. She always put her whole heart into everything she did, it was especially apparent when it came to her family and friends.People felt welcome when they came to her home. No matter what time, day or night, her door was always open. Her friends and family knew that if something needed to be done she was the one to turn to. Her tenacity and perserverance is what made her the stable "rock" in our lives. She was an active member in the Empire Community. If there was an event, you could bet on it that she would be there, whether she was cheering in the stands or pulling up her sleeves doing the dirty work. Although her time here on earth was short, we will still cherish the times we had. Words cannot express how much she will be missed. She will forever be in our hearts and we will strive to be half as strong as she was. We will love you forever and we will see you again.Survivors include, Husband: Timmy "Speed" Fleetwood of the home; two daughters: Kalee Dawn Fleetwood and Chassity Nicole Fleetwod of Duncan; father: Murray Savage and wife Cheryl of Marlow;mother: Marcia Hester of Durango, Colo.; brother: Randy Savage and wife Mika of Duncan; two sisters: Leeanna Labenski and husband Matt of Boston, Mass., and Andrea McKay and husband Jasen of Marlow. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Halee Lynn Fleetwood and many loved ones.Pallbearers will be Mike Roberson, Clark Roberts, Barri McCauley, Toney Mitchell, Jeff Jones, Tobey Baldwin.Memorial contributions may be made to the Paula Fleetwood Memorial Fund at Bancfirst.Online condolences may be made to www.callawaysmithcobb.com.

I am so sorry for your loss. I have not seen Paula in many years, but the thing I remember most is looking at her smile and you couldn't help to smile back. It truly was contagious. She was beautiful inside and out. May God bless and keep you until you are together again.

Growing up with Chasity and being one of her best friends, Paula was like a second mother to me. I was always around the family and would even stay the night out at their house all the time. I will never forget the good times and memories I have from her. She was always there for me and any of Chasity's friends whenever we needed to talk or have a good laugh. I know me and Amber Culp will definately miss the awesome cheesecake she would always make us everytime we would come over. I will truly miss her. I love you all very very much.

I cannot remember a time when I saw Paula that she didn't have a smile on her face. She was truly proud of her girls and never failed to express her love for you. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers.
