Dear Stevie and Stephanie,

I was so sad to hear about your mom's passing. I just heard today, Saturday, from a mutual friend. I want you to know that it was always so evident how much she loved you two and how devoted she was to both of you. I'm sure there will be many hard times ahead, but always know that you are so very lucky to have a mother like her. Steph, I heard that you played at the funeral. I know she was so proud. I miss you both very much. With love!

Dear Harrison Family,
Ryan & I are so saddened at this time by the loss of Paula. She was truly one of the kindest and most wonderful people I have ever known. I will always remember her warmth & how welcomed I felt at Sagers' & Harrison family functions alike. Paula has been such a wonderful example to me of how a true disciple of Jesus Christ should live their lives. She was an amazing woman, wife, & mother as well. I still think I will bump into her at Costco or coming out of Cafe Rio. I will very much miss being able to do so. Her example & all of your wonderful examples of strength during this trying time will always be with me. Hers was the most remarkable funeral I have ever attended. We love Paula & the entire Harrison clan very much. With much love & respect,
Denise Sagers

Dear Steve,

Nila and I just returned from a brief vacation and were shocked to learn of Paula's death. We had no idea her cancer had recurred.

We are truly sorry for your and the family's loss. Paula was a wonderful campanion and mom. That was quite evident with our brief contacts with her.

While we are not able to attend the viewings and funeral because of previous commitments, please be aware that our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I have personally appreciated the association we have had on the high council. Thank you for being such a good friend and mentor.

May the Lord's blessings and comfort be with you and your family.

Dear Stephanie,
I was deeply saddened to learn of the passing of your Mom. I just wanted you to know how much I admired her. I remember her very well. She was so full of grace and beauty. I was always happy to see her and visit with her. She left a lasting impression on me because of her sweet presence and obvious devotion to you, always taking care of the things that were important to your well-being. As one of my third graders, you carried yourself with that same grace and beauty . . . unusual for someone so young. The influence of a wonderful mother on her children is a great blessing that will follow them throughout the remainder of their lives. I just wanted you to know that my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time. May you feel the love and support of the Comforter.

Love, Mrs. Chatwin (Shelley Elem.)

Machelle,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I know how you feel as we lost Randy's mother to cancer last summer. It is such a hard experience to go through especially as you are starting your own family. Please know that your mom is watching over your little family from Heaven. She'll be there for all the special occasions and when you need her help! May peace be with you and your family at this time.

Sincerely,

Kristin Sowby Hilman

I enjoyed knowing Paula and Steve in the AF 26th Ward. Paula was so sweet, and greeted me with hugs when I'd run in to her, even years after I moved from home. I wish the best to all involved.

Paula is truely the most amazing person I have ever been blessed to know. She always had a beautiful glow surounding her and always brighened the darkest of days. She is the ultimate example of what a wife, mother, friend and leader should be. She is now and always will be my greatest example of the kind of mother and person I would like to be.
My heart, prayers and love are with all of you.

We often say the expression that there are no words however in Paula's case there are words. Charity, Love unfeigned, emulation of Christ and His work. Paula is the example of the gospel of Jesus Christ and will be missed but she bore testimony in her actions and words of the great plan of happines that we will all partake in. Harrison family, I hope this trite expression of heartfelt love will offer you the hope that is ours through the grand atonement of our Savior and will bring to you the hope that we feel.

Growing up with Machelle, I have so many great memories of Paula. She often would join in on whatever we were doing and wasn't afraid to just have fun. I remember sneaking into the garage so quietly with Machelle so Paula wouldn't hear us get popcycles out of the freezer. I think she always knew we were in there but let us have them anyway. Even when I was younger, as well as older, I could see the special relationship Paula had with each of her children. She adored them, and they her. I will never forget Paula or the smile she always carried on her face.
