Paula was my beloved first cousin. My father, Joseph Diute, would take my siblings and I on Sundays for family visits. I always looked up to Paula and was so awed by her sweetness, and how pretty she was, both inside and out. In spite of the loss of both her mother, my Aunt Jenn, and her sister Barbara at such an early age, she would always greet me and my sibs with a welcoming smile. Her father, Uncle Paul, once gave us gifts of silver dollars. I asked Paula what are these? She would say they are very special and don't ever loose them or spend them. I still have them. Paula and I talked frequently. She was so proud of her sons, their wives, her grandchildren, and her great grandchildren. She will always be in my heart. I was lucky to have known her.
