Paula Jean Swanson

Paula Jean Swanson, aged 63, passed away on September 29, 2024, in Apache Junction, AZ. Born on September 17, 1961, Paula was a beacon of love and kindness, known for her selflessness and the deep dedication she had for her family.

Paula graduated from Thornton Fractional South High School and was affectionately known as a "Domestic House Goddess" and the best mother one could wish for. Her home was filled with warmth and laughter, and she raised her children with boundless love and dedication.

She had a sparkling personality that made her a friend to many. Paula's ability to connect with people was unparalleled, thanks to her infectious smile and contagious laugh that lit up every room. Her hugs were healing, and her selflessness was indeed saintly.

Paula's hobbies brought joy not only to her but also to those around her. She loved cooking, dancing, and singing, often surrounding herself with her beloved grandchildren. Paula also enjoyed shopping, off-roading, RVing across the country, glamping "Up North," and making yearly trips to Disney, creating countless cherished memories.

She is survived by her parents, John and Sharon Sealy; her loving husband of 43 years, Thor Swanson; her children, Michele, Patrick, Drew, Dina, Stephanie, and Doreece; her brother, Johnny; her cherished grandchildren, Sonnie, Jordan, Maygan, Larz, Ryan, Logan, Maddie, Evan, Riley, and Ruby; and her children-in-law, Mikey, Sue, Inga, and Gary. Paula was preceded in death by her grandparents, Burrl Besse, Pauline Fairless Besse, John E. Sealy, and Regina McGinley Sealy.

A celebration of Paula's life will be announced in the near future. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to your local animal rescue in Paula's name, honoring her compassionate spirit.
