Paulette Schaefer Obituary

Paulette Schaefer, aged 79, passed away on October 4, 2024, in Deerfield Beach, FL. Born on April 21, 1945, Paulette dedicated her life to her family and friends, embodying the roles of a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend with unwavering devotion.

Paulette is survived by a loving family: her husband Charles Schaefer; their children, Charles Schaefer, Christa Yawney, and Cory Schaefer; daughter-in-law Tara Schaefer and son-in-law Michael Yawney; grandchildren Carter Schaefer, Lily Yawney, Sadie Yawney, and Layla Schaefer; sister Phyllis Guido; and brother Robert Franza. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jennie and James Franza, and her sister Rosemarie "Lovey" Sciales.

Those who knew Paulette will remember her for her love of life's simple pleasures, such as going to the beach, cooking, walking her beloved dog Paulie, and shopping.

A service to honor Paulette's life will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Christ the King Church, located at 2 Indian Head Road, Commack, NY 11725.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at https://fundraising.stjude.org/site/TR?px=8619501&fr_id=154020&pg=personal©_link_share , a cause close to Paulette's heart. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her as a symbol of love and devotion.

Paula was such a lovely person.
I am sad that we can no longer meet by the pool or on the beach, but am so happy for the laughter we shared. She and Charlie were so welcoming in 2020 when we came to live in 1 Ocean - We treasure those memories

I lost a true friend and miss her every day. Paula was a sweet and caring friend to everyone. I only met Paula after i started working where she lived burnt we became instant friends. I am blessed with so many memories you are missed my dear friend
