Pauline was loved at the Classic Residence. She would drive to her bridge games at the Country Club frequently. She also helped one of our former employees when he was forced to resign due to immigration issues.

Mrs. James was a fierce, strong and very independent leader in anything she did. I was honored to have her as a principal at Casa View Elementary. It takes a village to raise a child and I'm glad she was part of mine.

Thank you Mrs. James.

I will always remember all the fond stories my mother, Betty Barns Gray, would tell us about Pauline. I was so glad to get to see her at Aunt Gladys' 100th birthday party. All our prayers and thoughts are with the entire family.

Mrs. James was my first principal. I did my student teaching at Mark Twain under the expertise of Frances Lawhon. They were the epitome of educators. I wanted to start my teaching career at Mark Twain but I was assigned to Daniel Webster. I know Mrs. James will be missed by all who knew her.

I was priviledged, along with my brothers, to have Mrs. James as my principal at Mark Twain elementary. She was a wondeful lady and a fine educator. She created an incredible environment and developed a strong bond with the kids and parents. We have many fond memories of Mark Twain, and Mrs. James played a major role in those memories.
