Pauline Lyle Obituary
LYLE, Mrs. Pauline-age 70, of Flint, passed away Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at McLaren-Flint. Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Friday, October 29, 2021 with a 1:30pm family hour at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel, 3021 S. Dort Hwy., Flint, MI 48507. Pastor Michael Pettigrew officiating. Calling hours are 1:00pm - 6:00pm Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Sheldon T. Banks Funeral Chapel. The final resting place for Ms. Lyle will be River Rest Cemetery, Flint, MI.
Pauline Lyle was born January 6, 1951 in Jackson, Mississippi, the daughter of Marcellus and Ernestine Lyle. She attended Michigan State University and worked for the State of Michigan in Lansing. She loved socializing with friends and drawings. Pauline was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Pauline was a creative soul. She loved makeup artistry, drawing and music. Her exuberant spirit will be missed.
Ms. Pauline Lyle leaves to cherish her memory: son, Justin Lyle-Porter of Flint, MI; grandchildren, Saniyah Scott, Justin Lyle-Porter II, Justis Lyle-Porter, Jurni Lyle-Porter, Tahj Lyle and Gabriella Lyle; 3 brothers, Marcellus Lyle Jr. of Flint, MI, Exo Lanier Lyle of Jackson, MS and Harold (Brenda) Lyle of Atlanta, GA; 4 sisters, Marguerite (Clifton) Wright of Flint, MI, Emma Torrence of Bellflower, CA, Esther Lois Kirby of Cerritos, CA, Celestine (Mickey) Rogers of Milwaukee, WI; nephews, Michael Lyle Jr. of Flint, MI, Toure (Melody) Lyle of Grand Blanc, MI; Roger (LaChasity) Lyle and Exel Slaughter of Huntsville, AL, Larry Torrence (Sylvia) of Los Angeles, CA, Geoffrey (Kimberly) Torrence of Bellflower, CA, Robert Torrence of Cerritos, CA, Lee Wright (Sarah) of Canton, MI; nieces, Margaret Gibson of Taylor, MI, Terri (Anthony) Richards of Ann Arbor, MI, Michelle Lyle and Lashawnda Lyle of Atlanta, GA, Timberla Lyle and Ericka (Garry) Lyle Sullivan, of Huntsville, AL, Tamicha Lyle of Clarkson, MI, Shevvi (Shon) Crowley of Minneapolis, MN, Hope Rogers of Milwaukee, WI, Mitchelle Lyle of Milwaukee, WI; Michelle and LaShawnda Lyle of Atlanta, GA; 2 aunts, Erta Faye Logan and Inez Armon both of Jackson, MS; and a host of other relatives including Vivian Lyle, Lonzie (Tina) Thompson and friends.
Pauline Lyle was preceded in death by: her twin sister, Helene Lyle Graves; brothers, Mitchell and Michael Lyle; oldest sister, Dorothy Jean Tyler; parents, Ernestine and Marcellus Lyle.
A special thank you to her endearing niece, Stephanie Wright for her devoted care to Pauline during her illness.
