Ruby Rodden Obituary
She was born on Sept. 16, 1932, in Schoolfield, Va., one of 14 children.
She is the daughter of the late Homer Baliles and wife Susie Baliles Weaver.
She was retired from Rauch Industries. She was a lifelong member of The Church of God and attended the Lowell Church of God. She loved to sing and traveled with trios and quartets to minister in song.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, John W Rodden, and Jim Weaver, Kenneth Weaver, Erving Wells, Tommy Baliles, Lawrence Baliles, Moeen Wiggins, Frank Weaver, and Nolan Weaver her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her daughters Sylvia Rodden Littlejohn, Kathy Rodden Loftis and husband Ronnie; five grandchildren, Tracy Littlejohn Matthews and husband Chris, April Littlejohn Smith and husband Mike, John Ross Lofti and wife Kylie, William Edward Loftis, Anna Kristian Loftis; three great-grandchildren, Cody Smith, Kinzee Smith, and Drake Loftis; brothers and sisters Helen Wiggins, Cleta Richards, Dolphus Weaver, Gail Moore, and Cindy Weaver.
Celebration of life service will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016, at Lowell Church of God with the Rev. Joe Heffner officiating.
Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. prior to service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Lowell Church of God, 804 West 1st Street, Lowell, NC 28098.

Wow, I can't even start to count the memories. Although I have not seen or spoken to Ruby in several years, I would still say that she was a close friend. I know she will be missed by family and friends. May God bring peace and contentment to the family.
