Peggy Eaton Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jan. 17, 2025.
Peggy Rudolph Eaton, born on January 15, 1951, passed away peacefully on her 74th birthday, January 15, 2025, in Pike Road, Alabama.

She was the cherished daughter of Kay and Mary Frances Rudolph.

Peggy was a devoted mother to her two sons, Ronnie Eaton (Emily) and Michael Eaton (Tori), both of Pike Road, Alabama. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Kennedy Johnson, Connor Johnson, Charlie Eaton, Reagan Eaton, Maddox Eaton, Cooper Jack Eaton, and Nico Eaton. Peggy also leaves behind to treasure her memories Matthew Tucker, who she considered a son for more than twenty years.

She is lovingly remembered by her siblings Jeff Rudolph (Carol) of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Brenda Garner (Walt) of Pelham, Alabama. Peggy was preceded in death by her beloved sister Cindy Adair.

Peggy's life was a testament to her deep faith and love for Jesus, which she shared generously with everyone she encountered. May Peggy's unwavering devotion to her faith and family serve as a source of comfort and strength to all who mourn her passing.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 20th, 2025 at 11:00am at Taylor Road Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL. Family will receive guests 30 minutes prior to the service.

I still miss you, Sis. I miss our phone conversations and miss saying hello to your grandchildren when I called while you were watching them. I didn´t realize how much I missed you until I picked up my phone to call you. . .

I was saddened to hear of Peggy´s passing. She was my sorority sister from Montevallo, Phi Mu President. She always made me laugh and it was a privilege to say she was my sister.

Peggy was my beloved soroity sister at University Of Montevallo. She was our President when I first joined. I remember when Peggy and D-Day were roommates living in the one & only room that had its own bathroom. Those two had taken in a kitten which was "against the rules" for sure. It had 4 white paws & they named it Soots in honor of its white "foots." We all worked really hard helping them keep that little thing hidden. To be honest, I am not sure what finally happened to the little thing. Peggy was a very admired lady. She was an inspiring loving person. She will live on in the hearts of many.
