Born on September 24, 1950, in Oildale, California, Peggy was the seventh of ten siblings: Erma Linda Urias, Julian Rodriguez, Ruth Rodriguez, Gerald Rodriguez, Sarah Moreno, Chon Rodriguez, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Steven Rodriguez, and Donna Marruffo. Peggy resided in the Hemet and San Jacinto valley since 1965. She graduated from San Jacinto High School in 1969. A cosmetologist by trade, Peggy spent over 20 years building a respected career as a hairdresser, where she was known for her technical brilliance and creativity.
Peggy was a devoted wife to Jesse Florez for nearly 30 years. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering support. She was a proud mother to Anthony Rodriguez, Chon Rodriguez, Manuel Rodriguez, her bonus children: Valerie Florez, Simon Florez, Richard Florez, and Melanie Florez-Escamilla, her adopted children: Angel Florez, George Florez, Greg Florez, and Bernardina Florez, her foster children Na-Sheaylinn Moreno, Maddie Moreno, and Ashwut Moreno.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Peggy was a lover of music, especially oldies and Motown, all things breakfast, and a matriarch to her family. Not a day went by that Peggy didn't talk about how much her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren meant to her -- her family was arguably her most important achievement in life. Her kindness, steady presence, and wit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 24, at 11 a.m. at Inland Memorial Funeral Care INC located at 120 N Buena Vista St, Hemet, CA 92543. Reception to follow.
Though she is no longer with us in body, Peggy's spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared.

Grandma,
I am grateful my parents had me so young. Although there's never enough time, it gave me 35 wonderful years with you. Your presence will be missed. Thank you for teaching me self worth, class, and poise. I hope I continue to make you proud. The values you've impressed upon me will carry beyond generations. Because of you, my son, will learn about the sacrifices it takes to be a strong family.
