Peggy A.

Peggy A. Hammer, 71, of the Point/Shoreland Community, died unexpectedly on Thursday, January 8, 2015, at St. Vincent's Mercy Medical Center. She was born on April 27, 1943, in Toledo, OH. Her parents, who survive her are Betty (Miner) and Samuel Carter. After working in offices on computers for various companies, she retired after 25 years of employment. Her interests included knitting, crocheting, fishing and camping in the great outdoors. But Peggy's heart truly lied in the love she felt for her family. After her most beloved husband Glenn's death in 2009, she longed to see him again and now is reunited with him, dancing on the streets of Heaven.

Her family, left here to carry on, are children, Cheryl (Jon) Parker and Randall (Chris) Hammer; 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; brother, John (Linda) Carter; sisters, Gloria (Mike) Ferree, Pat Oliger and Tina (Ed) Van Leuven; along with many loving nieces and nephews. Along with her husband, Glenn, Peggy is reunited with her brother, Sam Carter, and sisters, Victoria Schultz, Diane Patterson and Debbie Gottschalk.

There will be no visitation. David R. Jasin-Hoening Funeral Home, 5300 N. Summit St., Toledo, OH 43611 is assisting the family during this time. Those wishing to make a contribution in Peggy's memory are asked to make out their donations to the American Cancer Association, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718. Remembering you Aunt Peggy with love and fondness. You will be missed but I know you and Uncle Glen are living it up now that you're together again. Sending love and prayers to you both, Randy and Cheryl, and the rest of the family too during this painful time.

I am so sorry for your loss. I remember some of your funny stories you would tell about your mom at our luncheons. If you need anything, please call me. I am here for you. All my love to you and your family at this hard time.

Peggy was always a bright light at our family holidays. Always ready with a smile and a fun story to tell. She will be greatly missed at the table, but will always remain in our hearts - The Gosselin Family

Your Daughter

January 11, 2015

I miss you so much mom! I know your dancing and singing with the Angels and most of all with dad! As you are at peace, I will forever miss you both with all of my heart! I am absolutely lost right now, but knowing you two are together again gives me peace. Until I see you again, I love you momma.
