Peggy Ann Mims

BURLINGTON - Condolences are being shared with the family Peggy Ann Mims as they prepare for services celebrating her life on Sunday, December 20, 2020 at 1:00pm from the chapel of Sharpe Funeral Home, Inc. The family will greet friends thirty minutes prior to the services and other times they will be at 407 Richmond Ave., Burlington. Public viewing will be held on Saturday from 1pm until 7pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow the services in Snow Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Covid-19 precautions will be observed; therefore, masks and social distancing are required for all events.

Mrs. Peggy Ann Mims of 2658 Holly Brook Dr. Burlington transitioned on December 15, 2020 at the home of her sister, Pauline M. Brooks. Peggy Ann Mims was born to Albert Miller Mims, Sr. and Addie Naomi Smith Mims. She was a 1969 graduate of Graham High School. She was a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelors in Business Administration and received her Master's in Finance from Atlanta University. She had a vibrant career with the New York Times as a Financial Analyst.

She leaves loving memories to her siblings: Pauline M. Brooks (Leo), Albert "June" Mims Jr. (Brenda) and Bobby L. Mims (Page); sister-in-law Ida Jean Mims as well as several nieces and nephews other relatives and dear friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a siblings: Claristine Blacknell, Addie Lee McGee, Deloris Mims Mapp and followed in death by her brother, Herbert Mims.
