PEGGY STEINER Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Jun. 29 to Jun. 30, 2014.
STEINER, PEGGY JOYCE (MILLER) - of Maynardville, passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2014. Peggy was born on March 23, 1945, in Union County. She professed her faith in Jesus Christ and was a member of Alder Springs Baptist Church, where she especially enjoyed attending the women's group for strength and encouragement. Peggy's life was devoted to expressing love to her family and friends. Whether caring for her children, being "Nana" to her grandchildren, befriending a niece or nephew, or talking to a brother, sister or friend, she was always willing to put others needs before her own. Peggy adored making meals for her family and friends to encourage them to fellowship. She was a wonderful cook and expressed her love through the abundance of delicious dishes she prepared. She hosted many Christmas dinners, Easter egg hunts/ lunches, and Halloween cookouts so her family and friends would come together, strengthen friendships, and build memories. Peggy worked as a beautician and operated her own business (Lady-B-Lovely) for more than forty years. Even through her work she expressed love to her customers, whom she called "my ladies", by making trips to their homes when an illness kept them from traveling or by making a visit to the funeral home to style the hair of a friend's loved one that had passed away. Peggy approached life with a contagious smile and a happy spirit. She loved to love and is now rejoicing with her son in God's heavenly love. Preceded in death by son, Eric Jedson Steiner; parents, ElDemus and Carlie Bernice (Beeler) Miller; brothers, Eston Keck, Jr., Paul Miller, and Harry (Tom) Miller; sisters and brothers-in-law, June (Johnny) Sexton, Gloria Jean (Seb) Ailor, Betty (Jack) Turner, and Linda Miller; brother-in-law, Arnie Bridges; father and mother-in-law, E.J. and Launa Steiner. Survived by son and daughter-in-law, Aaron and Regina Steiner; grandchildren, Tucker and Madison Steiner; brother and sister-in-law, Wade (Bobbie) Miller; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth Ann Bridges and Jewell (Charles) Harrison; and former spouse, James (Jim) Steiner. Family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Monday, June 30, 2014, at Trinity Funeral Home Chapel in Maynardville followed by a funeral service at 8:00 p.m. with Reverends Jimmy Davidson and Scott Thompson officiating. Family and friends will meet at Trinity Funeral Home on Tuesday, July 1, 2014, at 10:15 a.m. and proceed in procession to Skaggs Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. interment. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alder Springs Baptist Church, 556 Hickory Star Road, Maynardville, Tennessee 37807 or to Skaggs Cemetery, c/o Terry Miller, 4941 E. Emory Road, Knoxville, Tennessee 37938. Trinity Funeral Home, LLC, Maynardville, has the honor to serve and celebrate the life of Peggy Steiner. 865-992-5002 www.trinityfuneralhome.net
