Peggy Walters

Tulare - It is with a sad heart we announce that Peggy Walters, 73, of Easton-Fresno passed peacefully surrounded by family on March 4, 2025. Born on January 31, 1952 in Fresno, CA to Phillip and Vivian Walters, she grew up in Easton where she graduated from Washington Union High School. She began her 30-year career with the IRS in Fresno, then joined the U.S. Forest Service where she worked for the Inyo, San Bernardino, and Sequoia National Forests. She retired in 2010, and moved to Tulare to be closer to family. Peggy was a passionate person whose kind, cheerful nature rubbed off onto everyone she met. She loved to watch her 49ers and Cowboys, garden while loudly listening to classic rock, and spend time with family and friends. Peggy was calm, free-spirited, and always brightened up our days. She is survived by her sisters, Shirley, Connie (Dave), Diane, Ida (Steve); her brother Mike (Melissa); and 11 nieces and nephews.
