Wow! Penny Lord passed on to her Eternal Reward on the day after her friend and my Grandfather Edward Harrison Sargent's own anniversary! My Grandmother would always tell me that everyone in the Sargent family had died on an American Holiday! Margaret herself died on Veterans day November 11th 1990 at St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital. Very appropriate since she said tens of thousands of Rosaries for the Troops over her lifetime. Margaret was born in 1900. After Edward Harrison Sargent died on January 20th 1999, I thought to myself, "That's strange that he did not die on an American Holiday?" So I was in the dark, that is, until the inauguration of George W. Bush on January 20th 2001! Then I laughed out-loud and said to myself, "It WAS an American Holiday! Inauguration Day! Only it happens just once every four years!"

P.S. Here is one of Monsignor Tom's & Penny's Favorite Prayers After Communion! ((This is Fr. Tom's & my Grandfather's 17th Anniversary of their passing! My Grandfather's funeral was the last funeral said by Msgr. Tom who passed away on Feb 11th 1999 on his favorite Saint Bernadette / Our Lady of Lourdes Feast Day!
