Penny Pflueger Obituary
She was born in Pottsville, Nov. 13, 1937, a daughter of the late Clem and Mae Higgins Alexis.
She was a 1955 graduate of Pottsville Catholic High School.
She was a lab technician at the former Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center, Pottsville, including various other hospitals prior to retiring.
She was an active member of St. John of Rochester Roman Catholic Church, Fairport, N.Y.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph L. Pflueger, whom she married Aug. 22, 1964; a daughter, Suzanne Pflueger; a sister, Jayne Alexis Pfluger, Pottsville; niece and nephews, including a close niece, Kristin Pfluger, Deturksville, and a great-niece, Claire Pflueger.
A memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday from St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Pottsville. Interment will be private in St. John No. 2 Cemetery, Pottsville. Local arrangements are under the care of James E. Humphrey Funeral Home, Pottsville. Penny led a Bible Study group at St John curch .She taught me to include God in daily living ...thanking Him for beautiful plants and animals nearby. She often mentioned her apprication the many nearby trees and deer, Penny loved the writings of St. John. I will remember her kind, gentle way of speaking and living.
